I'm officially a KCL student!
On Friday morning, I officially enrolled at King's College (which basically just means that I got my KCL ID card). I had a lot of time between that and a scheduled Turkish dinner with all the Wash U study abroad students in London, so I decided to explore the area where I live! I first went to Borough Market, which is a big market that's just a few blocks away from my dorm. I was kind of overwhelmed by all the choices so I just took some quick pictures and decided to come back next week to actually get some groceries there.

From there, I saw a sign that said that the Tate Modern (a museum) was 9 minutes away. So, instead of following the main road, I decided to take some side streets to get there. Although I got a little lost I found this cute street on the way.
Here's the Tate Modern. Unfortunately, I could only take pictures at the entrance of the museum. My favorite exhibit was one of Nicholas Hlobo's art: http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/nicholashlobo/default.shtm.

The Tate Modern is connected to St. Paul's Cathedral by a pedestrian bridge called Millennium Bridge, so I crossed the Thames Rives to see St. Paul's. Although I did not go inside, I went inside for a few minutes the next day during my London walking tour (next post). The inside was gorgeous! I plan on coming back to explore the rest of it sometime soon!

Friday night, the Wash U student studying at KCL and UCL went to dinner at a Turkish restaurant. GWU students also happened to be at this restaurant for dinner. I bet that confused the staff!
